Together the poster and model express the freedom that this workshop provided by encouraging experimentation with materials which is evident in each exercise and in the overall progression of the workshop.
The poster reflects my spacial experience in the city where I examined how the city tries to integrate itself into the harbour. The box board model is a reflection of this where I tried to promote this connection and the interactions that have resulted.
Inspired by the Bach Pavillion by Zaha Hadid and Julia Kristeva's essay on abjection, I tried to push the mount board to its extreme limit. As a result I created a protective form that shields us from the "powers of horror".
This representation of the space between the law building and the chemical sciences building tries to frame your view in many different ways when looking at it from the many perspectives available. The way light enters the void through the various openings creates a powerful dreamlike experience.
